Role Description The Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) will provide high-quality medical support to veterinarians and patients in a collaborative clinical setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with examinations, administering medications and treatments, performing diagnostic procedures, monitoring anesthesia and surgical recovery, and maintaining accurate medical records.

The RVT will help educate clients on animal health, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions, while promoting a positive and compassionate experience for pets and their families. The role also involves supporting inventory management,



maintaining a clean and safe clinic setting, and participating in team-based case discussions and continuing education activities. This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada.

Qualifications

- Current registration or eligibility for registration as a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) in the province of Ontario.
- Skills in patient care and clinical support, including animal handling, treatment administration, and monitoring of hospitalized and surgical patients.
- Technical proficiency in veterinary procedures such as radiology, laboratory sample collection and processing, anesthesia monitoring, and surgical assistance.
- Strong client communication and interpersonal skills to explain medical information clearly, support client decisions, and contribute to a welcoming clinic environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based setting, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and respect for diverse colleagues and clients.
- Organizational and time-management skills to prioritize cases, maintain accurate records, and support smooth clinic operations.
- Commitment to continuous learning, including participation in mentorship, specialized training, and professional development opportunities.
- Experience in small animal practice or related veterinary settings is an asset; comfort working in a busy, fast-paced clinical environment is beneficial.
