About the Opportunity We are seeking highly motivated Territory Sales Representatives for a fast-growing wholesale food distribution client. This is a field-based, target-driven role offering immense flexibility, true territory ownership, and an excellent foot in the door with a 3-month contract-to-hire arrangement.
You will spend four days a week in your designated area pitching to local businesses, and one mandatory day (Mondays) in the office for paid training and strategy. With highly competitive pricing and high demand, this is a highly convertible sell for anyone with strong communication skills and a natural sales instinct.
What You'll Do
- Own and grow an assigned local territory through direct, field-based B2B sales.
- Pitch directly to restaurant and grocery owners to acquire new accounts.
- Meet highly achievable KPIs, targeting just 6 to 7 new customers every two weeks.
- Upsell across diverse product categories including produce, meat, dairy, and packaging.
- Promote the client’s multi-channel platform to drive both online orders and walk-in purchases.
- Attend mandatory in-office training every Monday, spending the other four days in the field.
What You Bring & Compensation
- Experience: Proven sales background in retail, B2B, or field sales (food industry experience is a bonus, but not required).
- Mobility: A valid driver’s license and your own reliable vehicle for daily territory travel.
- Drive: Self-motivated, comfortable with in-person interactions, and target-driven.
- Base Pay: $36,000 – $42,000 base salary, plus fuel allowance and mileage reimbursement.
- Commissions: Uncapped commission structure offering outstanding potential upside and flexibility.
- Schedule: Paid for a 5-day week while working a highly flexible schedule of 4 field days and 1 office day.
