Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sales Incentive Compensation Analyst to support the Revenue Operations team for a U.S.-based fintech/payments technology company.
This role will support monthly and quarterly commission operations, sales incentive calculations, compensation data validation, payout accuracy, reconciliation, and audit-ready documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales compensation, financial operations, revenue operations, or a similar analytical role, with strong Excel skills, CRM exposure, and the ability to work accurately with sensitive pay and performance data.
This is a remote contract opportunity based in India, requiring alignment with Eastern Time Zone working hours to collaborate with teams in the U.S. and Europe.
Responsibilities
- Calculate monthly and quarterly sales commissions, incentive payments, business adjustments, true-ups, and accruals in accordance with plan rules and company policies.
- Validate, reconcile, and maintain sales performance data to ensure accurate and timely commission payouts.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies, anomalies, and commission-related issues.
- Support compliance audits and ensure commission calculations align with approved policies and plan documentation.
- Enter, update, and maintain compensation data in tools and systems such as Salesforce, CaptivateIQ, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Excel.
- Document calculation steps,
assumptions, adjustments, and processes to maintain accurate and audit-ready records.
- Partner with Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to support commission processing and data accuracy.
- Handle sensitive compensation, pay, and performance data with a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Manage deadlines for monthly and quarterly commission cycles while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Support process improvements related to compensation operations, data validation, reporting, and documentation.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in sales compensation, financial operations, revenue operations, sales operations, commissions, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review data, identify trends, validate information, and resolve discrepancies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, including data validation, formulas, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Experience working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Experience with sales compensation tools such as CaptivateIQ is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- High attention to detail, curiosity, critical thinking, and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently across time zones while collaborating with teams in the U.S. and Europe.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-volume workplace.
- Ability to handle confidential compensation and performance data with professionalism and discretion.
- Must be available to work hours aligned with Eastern Time Zone business needs.
