About Design Tech Hair Studio

We’re a busy, established Richmond hair salon with a welcoming team and a loyal clientele. We take pride in creating a professional, friendly and positive environment for both our guests and our team.

We’re looking for a reliable, personable and organized Front Desk Receptionist / Salon Assistant to join our team.

This role is an significant part of the salon. You’ll be the friendly face our clients see when they arrive and an important part of keeping the day running smoothly behind the scenes.

What You'll Be Doing

- Warmly welcome and check in clients
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries and book appointments
- Manage appointments and schedules using our salon booking system
- Process payments and assist with front-desk transactions
- Help keep the salon clean, organized and welcoming
- Assist stylists with day-to-day salon tasks
- Help maintain an organized front desk and reception area
- Communicate appointment and client information clearly with the team
- Help during busy periods and keep things running smoothly
- Provide a friendly, professional experience for every guest
- Support the overall team and contribute to a positive salon environment

- Able to stay calm and positive when things get busy
- Comfortable answering phones and working with a computer/booking system
- A team player who is willing to jump in and help where needed
- Able to communicate clearly in English with clients and team members

Previous customer service, reception or administrative experience is an asset, but we're happy to consider the right person with a great attitude and willingness to learn.

Schedule

We are looking for someone with flexibility in their availability, including some evenings and/or weekends.
