We are opening a new location in Peterborough and we’re looking for a Salon Manager who loves doing hair and knows how to lead a team. We’re looking for someone who can balance the day-to-day responsibilities of running a salon while still working behind the chair and taking care of clients.

As our Salon Manager, you’ll be responsible for helping the salon run smoothly, supporting your team, creating a great experience for clients, and making sure the salon stays organized and on track.

What you’ll be doing:

- Work behind the chair as a hairstylist and provide great haircuts and services to clients
- Lead, support and motivate the salon team
- Help with scheduling and keeping the salon properly staffed
- Assist with hiring, training and onboarding new stylists
- Make sure salon standards, policies and procedures are being followed
- Handle customer concerns and make sure clients leave happy
- Keep the salon clean, organized and welcoming
- Monitor inventory and make sure retail products and supplies are kept stocked and organized
- Provide coaching and feedback to stylists when needed
- Help create a positive, respectful and team-focused work environment




- Handle opening and closing duties and other day-to-day management responsibilities

What we’re looking for:

- Licensed hairstylist

- Previous salon experience
- Leadership or management experience is an asset
- Someone who is reliable, organized and comfortable taking initiative
- Robust communication and customer service skills
- Someone who enjoys working with people and helping a team succeed
- Comfortable working in a busy salon environment
- Someone who can lead by example while still enjoying being behind the chair .
