Job Title: SAP Functional Consultant - (Data Migration)

Work Location: Toronto, Canada Remote

Responsibilities

SAP Functional Lead (Data Migration)

 Own functional leadership for SAP data migration across relevant modules (FI, CO, SD, MM, PP,

etc.), ensuring alignment with end-to-end business processes.

 Define data scope, objects, dependencies, and migration waves in collaboration with business stakeholders and program leadership.

 Lead data profiling and cleansing initiatives, working with business data owners to resolve legacy data quality issues.

 Define and validate functional mapping rules, transformation logic, and business validations for master and transactional data.

 Review and approve functional specifications, migration rules, and data loads prepared by the technical migration team.

 Drive mock conversions, reconciliation cycles, and business signoffs, ensuring data completeness and accuracy.

 Act as the primary functional escalation point for migration defects, rootcause analysis, and resolution coordination.

 Support cutover planning, legacy system freeze strategies, and postgolive data stabilization activities.

 Coordinate and manage the development and maintenance of a repeatable data load and migration process for SAP implementations.

 Collaborate with the client to oversee the Data Migration team responsible for identifying, extracting, cleansing,

mapping, and loading master and transactional data from multiple sources into SAP systems.





 Provide expert guidance on data assessment processes and procedures.

 Solid SAP functional expertise with a deep understanding of data structures, dependencies,

and business impacts across modules.

 Proven experience leading SAP ECC or S/4HANA data migration programs from design through golive.

 Ability to translate business requirements into clear, auditable data migration rules and validation criteria.

 Excellent stakeholder management skills, enabling effective collaboration with business,

technical, QA, and external partners.

 High ownership mindset with accountability for data readiness, business signoff, and migration success.

 Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to identify data risks early and drive timely mitigation.

 Commitment to governance, documentation, and compliance with audit and regulatory standards.

 Capability to lead under tight timelines while maintaining quality, transparency, and team confidence.

 Own the endtoend data migration architecture, strategy, and execution across systems and platforms.

 Lead data profiling, mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

 Define migration tools, frameworks, standards, and cutover plans while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.

 Provide handson technical guidance, mentor migration developers, and review code and deliverables for quality.
