The Pools Operator Assistant works alongside the PoolOperator Technician to oversee the mechanical operations of the Public poolscomplex and the pool facilities at the Fairmont Hot Springs Lodge, as well asthe recreation centre pool at our timeshare location. Ensuring standards ofmechanical maintenance are complete and up to date with all Pool OperationGuidelines

Pay for this position is $23 per hour.

EssentialFunctions:

- Ensurethat the Pool Mechanical Operations are to Provincial Regulations and Standards
- Maintainingand monitoring the resort’s different pools.
- Maintainingand regulating the pool facility chlorine levels and system
- Makingsure water samples meet the health board recommendations and standards.
- Maintainingchlorine supply levels and maintenance of injectors and lines.
- Careof SCBA
- Orderingcleaning and facility supplies
- Byyearly cleaning, or as required of the hot springs, to remove excessive sandand silt out
- Checkingweekly conditions of the springs and taking by monthly water temperatures
- Ensuringproper pool temperatures by water flow rates
- MechanicalMaintenance of pools and yearly organizing of pool painting

MinimumQualifications & Skills

- Minimumthree years experience in the field.
- Transportationof Dangerous goods.
- Excellent organizational skills and the abilityto manage concurrent deliverables and work effectively & independently in amilestone-driven environment
- Excellent oral & written communication andinterpersonal skills. Polished and professional demeanor and appearance
- ComputerSkills - Demonstrated ability with regard to computer skills, including a highlevel of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.





WorkingConditions:

Ability to work different hours through out the day andevenings. This position could be called in to deal with mechanical issues whenrequired.
