Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sawyer to join our sawmill team. In this vital role, you will operate sawmill equipment to process logs into lumber, ensuring precision and safety throughout the production process. Your expertise and experience as a lumber sawyer will contribute directly to delivering high-quality timber products. Responsibilities

- Operate sawmill machinery, mainly a hydraulic mill with circular headsaw. Must also be capable of and willing to work with band saws, edgers and other mills to cut logs into specified dimensions with accuracy.

- Use hand tools and power tools to perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.





- Follow safety guidelines diligently during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries in the sawmill setting.

- Maintain detailed records of production activities, machine settings, and quality checks for compliance and continuous improvement.

- Prior experience working on a hydraulic sawmill is required.

- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, calipers, and machining processes enhances your ability to succeed in this role.

- Demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures meticulously in a fast-paced environment is required.

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

- Sundre, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
