Gobind Sarvar, Brampton (GSB) is a non-profit school serving JK–Grade 10 in Brampton. We're growing our transportation team to safely bring students to and from school every day. Student safety is our top priority, and we're looking for a responsible, punctual driver who shares that commitment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the school bus on assigned routes, following all Ontario traffic laws
- Complete full stops at all stop signs and railway crossings
- Ensure all students are seated and buckled before the bus moves
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain a calm, respectful, and skilled manner with students and parents
- Communicate delays or incidents promptly to school administration
- Report any safety concerns immediately
- Maintain confidentiality regarding students and families
- Attend required training sessions
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Class B or Class E driver's license.
- Completion of an MTO-approved school-bus driver improvement course
- Clean driving record — no more than 6 demerit points, no license suspension in the past 12 months
- Valid CPIC/Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous school bus or passenger transportation experience preferred
- Punctual, patient, and reliable
- Comfortable working with children ages 4–15
