Join our vibrant team as a Seasonal Retail/Baker, where your passion for baking and customer service will shine! In this lively role, you'll craft delicious baked goods, assist customers with their selections, and ensure our bakery section is inviting and well-stocked. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your baking skills while providing exceptional service in a fast-paced retail environment.

This is a part-time, seasonal position, we are looking to hire from September-January 20-30 hours per week, candidates must have Thursday and Friday availability.

Responsibilities

- Work in the retail area of the bakery, helping customers choose baking in a polite and courteous manner
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods following established recipes and food safety standards
- Assist customers by providing friendly, knowledgeable service, answering questions about products and ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery and retail area, including food handling and packaging to ensure quality and safety
- Restock bakery displays regularly to keep products fresh, appealing, and available for purchase
- Support food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients,



mixing batters and assembling baked items efficiently
- Follow all food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to uphold health standards

Experience

- Previous experience in a bakery or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, baking techniques, and cake decorating is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with shoppers of all ages
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures in a retail or kitchen setting
- Experience working in the food industry or kitchen environment will be considered an asset
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
