Odin Security Services is hiring licensed Security Guards to provide active, hands-on coverage across residential and commercial sites in Alberta. We're looking for reliable, physically capable, professional guards who are comfortable working in an engaged, high-visibility security role — not an observe-and-report-only position.

Our guards conduct regular patrols, engage with residents, patrons and staff, identify problems early, respond to incidents, and maintain a strong, visible security presence at every site.

Requirements

- Valid Alberta Security Services Worker Licence
- High school diploma from a Canadian high school, or Alberta GED
- Strong written and spoken English
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills
- Physically fit and capable of standing and walking for extended periods
- Able to conduct regular foot patrols and remain active throughout a shift
- Able to pass, or provide proof of, a law-enforcement-style physical fitness test within 6 months of employment (e.g. COPAT, PARE, APREP, FORCE, or the ODIN In-House Physical Fitness Test)
- Comfortable working in a hands-on security environment, including responding appropriately to fights, disturbances and aggressive individuals within your training and legal authority
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Able to work independently and as part of a security team
- Previous security experience is an asset
- Use of Force and/or de-escalation training or experience will be prioritized

Responsibilities

- Conduct regular foot patrols and actively monitor assigned areas
- Maintain a visible and skilled security presence
- Monitor entrances, exits and restricted areas
- Identify and address security concerns before they escalate
- Respond to fights, disturbances, medical incidents and other emergencies
- Deal professionally with intoxicated, aggressive or difficult individuals,



applying appropriate de-escalation techniques
- Enforce site rules, policies and client requirements
- Assist with crowd control and incident response when required
- Complete clear, accurate and professional incident reports
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, site staff and emergency services
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and conduct at all times
