We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. This position requires a proactive approach to security, with responsibilities that include monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and responding to incidents as they arise.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify potential security risks.
- Respond promptly to alarms or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement when necessary.
- Enforce company policies and procedures regarding access control and visitor management.
- Report any suspicious activities or incidents to the appropriate authorities.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or fraudulent activities.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
Skills
- Strong understanding of law enforcement principles and practices.
- Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff, visitors, and law enforcement personnel.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
- Emergency First-Aid & CPR Level C/AED required
- One (1) year of prior security experience in the province of Ontario required
