Support rehabilitation efforts as a Mobile Rehabilitation Assistant with Nova Scotia Health. Facilitate early mobilization for clients in care, enhancing recovery and mobility.
In this permanent full time role, you will work closely with healthcare teams to provide essential mobility support within the Provincial Frailty and Mobilization program. Your expertise in the Rehabilitation Assistant Program will aid clients in hospital settings, addressing their mobility needs per the overall care plan. Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with patients and families to optimize their rehabilitation experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide early mobilization interventions to clients
• Assist healthcare teams in developing mobility strategies
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families
• Complete assigned work amid changing staffing levels
• Ensure adherence to practice standards and safety
Requirements:
• Grade 12 or GED certification
• Completion of Rehabilitation Assistant Program
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills
• Access to reliable transportation
