Senior Applications Architect – IBM Maximo / MAS

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Applications Architect with solid expertise in IBM Maximo, Maximo Application Suite (MAS), Enterprise Asset Management, Cloud Transformation, and enterprise application architecture . The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership across complex enterprise environments, preferably within the utility sector .

Key Responsibilities

- Lead application architecture, design, development, configuration, integration, and modernization initiatives.
- Provide technical advisory and consulting support, translating business requirements and user stories into functional and technical solutions.
- Lead Maximo 7.6 / 7.6.1.2 and MAS 9.1 upgrades, development, configuration, and integrations.
- Support Maximo modules including Work Order Management, Asset Management, Preventive/Corrective Maintenance, Configuration, Scripting, and Reporting .
- Design and manage integrations between Maximo, ERP systems, databases, middleware, and other enterprise applications .
- Lead enterprise-wide Cloud transformation , including Cloud adoption, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) , private/public cloud, and software-defined infrastructure.
- Develop enterprise architecture models, technical documentation, and application/integration designs.




- Collaborate with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to manage risks and deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.

Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software development, systems engineering, application architecture, or a related technology role.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics , or equivalent experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience with IBM Maximo / MAS , particularly Maximo 7.6.1.2 and MAS 9.1 .
- Experience with Enterprise Asset Management and ERP integrations .
- Experience leading enterprise Cloud transformation and working with IaC and cloud platforms.
- Strong experience in systems analysis, application architecture, technical design, and enterprise integrations .
- Strong stakeholder communication, facilitation, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the utility industry is highly preferred.

Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture methodologies.
- Experience with information management, data/process modelling, and enterprise architecture deliverables.
- Experience with large-scale, multi-tier applications, workflows, dynamic forms, middleware, and databases.
