About the RoleCurrently, Technica is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our growing team as a Heavy Duty Mechanic in Timmins, ON. This position will assist our maintenance team in their efforts to maintain and progress our long‑term, local development project in Sudbury, Ontario. We are actively seeking to fill these positions to support the continued success of our operations.The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical failures of motorized equipmentPerforming daily equipment inspectionsTesting repaired equipment for proper performance to ensure work meets manufacturer's specificationsMaintaining accurate and up-to-date service logs and documentationOrdering parts as required to complete repairsFollowing daily line-ups and executing scheduled work in accordance with health and safety standards as well as manufacturer's specificationsQualifications:421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician – Journeyperson Candidate; orLicensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician; or Licensed 310S Automotive Service TechnicianBasic Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (U0000, U0001, U0002, & U00012) or equivalent provincial designation is preferredMinimum of five (5) underground experience is preferredStrong diagnostic skills to troubleshoot and repair equipmentStrong technical aptitude with digital platforms used for work orders, email, etc.High level of self-motivation and autonomyAbility to work as part of a team and independently in a fast-paced environmentCommitted to maintaining a safe and efficient work environmentFamiliarity with CAT, Epiroc,
