Position title: Senior Business Development Executive

Reporting to: Chief Revenue Officer

Location: Canada (Remote)

Basic Function

Health Advocate is seeking a dynamic and results oriented senior sales leader to join our team.

The Senior Business Development

Executive is responsible for developing new business across a generally defined geographic region. You will promote Health Advocate's industry-leading individual healthcare navigation, advocacy, wellness and EAP solutions to C-Suite executives and consultant/ broker partners within this region. You will be supported by a sales leader, sales tools including contact/prospect databases, Salesforce CRM, and a team of consultant/broker channel resources.

You will bring a “book” of contacts from employers and consultant/brokers and be able to leverage these relationships quickly into sales in the territory using a proven sales process. An essential part of this role is leveraging and nurturing strong relationships with key employer stakeholders in the C-Suite of employers as well as local and regional practice leaders within the insurance consultant/broker community. The primary responsibility for this role is to identify and engage with consultants/brokers to understand their needs and to identify RFP opportunities and selling opportunities for Health Advocate’s full spectrum of solutions.

Major Job Accountabilities

We are looking for accomplished sales leaders who will achieve annual sales commitments by:

· Prospecting assertively, including significant efforts in both cold and warm calling.

· Leveraging social media (LinkedIn Navigator) to work your prospect network.

· Leveraging existing consultant and industry relationships for opportunity creation.

· Capitalizing on internal lead generation activities (industry events, webinars, social media).

· Maintaining all activity information in Salesforce including meeting notes, contact information, proposal status and personal contacts lists.

· Following prescribed sales processes for identifying, nurturing, and closing business.

· Demonstrating expert level of knowledge of Health Advocates primary product set and competently presenting to both employers and consultant/brokers.

This position is remote,



but travel (is expected to hold important sales presentations and finalist presentations) within a specified territory. Although much of the work in the region may be done virtually, the preference is residence within the region. Those territories are:

· Northeast/New England

· Mid Atlantic/ D.C. - West

· Midwest/Chicago

· Southeast / Atlanta

· Pacific Northwest / Seattle -San Fransico

· Southern California/LA - Phoenix

· Southwest/Dallas

Additional Position Requirements

· Additional requirements include critical thinking and decision-making, proficiency in making sales phone calls, engaging in internal meetings, and taking responsibility for sales follow ups.

· You must be able to both prepare, lead and present sales presentations and occasional public speaking.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicant for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications.

Education

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, marketing, or a related field required. Comparable work experience will also be considered in lieu of education requirements.

Experience

· Minimum of 7+ years of experience in business-to-business development. Experience selling employee health related products or benefits brokerage preferred but will consider other enterprise-level sales backgrounds.

· Proven success selling to large companies at C-level and VP level preferred or selling into and through national brokers.

· Proficiency in working with Salesforce and the full suite of Microsoft software (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required).
