One of the top banks in Canada is looking to add a Senior Business Systems Analyst to their team on a contract basis. This role sits at the intersection of business analysis, data engineering, and corporate banking, leveraging technologies such as Databricks and cloud data platforms to modernize reporting and data solutions across lending, commercial banking, and credit risk.

This is a great opportunity for a senior BSA who wants to go beyond traditional requirements gathering and become a true bridge between business, data, and engineering teams. You’ll work with complex corporate lending portfolios and large-scale credit facilities while gaining deep exposure to data lineage, cloud platforms, reporting architecture, and financial services. The role offers a strong mix of technical problem solving, stakeholder interaction, and meaningful project ownership without requiring you to be a hands-on developer.

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Required Skills & Experience

- 7–10 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role
- Strong data analysis, data mapping, and technical documentation experience




- Experience in corporate/commercial banking, lending, or credit risk
- Experience reverse-engineering business reports and tracing data back to source systems
- Robust understanding of data lineage, business rules, and reporting requirements
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience

- Experience with Databricks or similar cloud data platforms
- Experience working closely with Data Engineering teams
- Knowledge of large corporate loan structures and credit facilities
- Experience with enterprise reporting and data transformation initiatives
- Understanding of data pipelines, source systems, and data architecture
