Join the Canadian Queer Chamber of Commerce (CQCC) in championing the economic empowerment of 2SLGBTQI+ businesses across Canada.

Established in 2003, the Canadian Queer Chamber of Commerce is a trusted partner linking 2SLGBTQI+ businesses in Canada to the wider business community. The CQCC fosters economic growth by supporting and nurturing 2SLGBTQI+ businesses, entrepreneurs, students and allies, and by helping Canada’s corporate bodies connect with the 2SLGBTQI+ business community. A leader in inclusive procurement, the CQCC is also the certifying body in Canada for 2SLGBTQI+ businesses.

The Chance

Reporting to the COO and working closely with the IT Manager, the Senior Business Systems & Technology Specialist ensures that CQCC employees can use the organization’s technology effectively, confidently, and consistently. This hands-on role administers and supports Dynamics 365 and CQCC’s other core business systems, resolves user issues, improves workflows, strengthens technology adoption, and helps teams get greater value from existing tools. The position develops a strong understanding of CQCC’s complete technology environment and how its systems, data, users, vendors, and processes connect. It also serves as the designated backup to the IT Manager for assigned operational responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Business Systems Administration

- Assists with the administration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and support Monday.com, Good Grants, Hivebrite, Microsoft 365, and other platforms used across CQCC.
- Maintain system configurations, workflows, forms, fields, dashboards, permissions, user settings, automations, and records.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of systems, owners, users, licences, vendors, integrations, data flows, and dependencies.
- Monitor system performance and data quality, resolve operational issues, and coordinate with vendors or external technical partners when escalation is required.

User Support, Training, and Adoption

- Act as a primary point of contact for employees experiencing issues with Dynamics 365 and other business systems; diagnose root causes, provide practical solutions, and follow through to resolution.

- Triage requests and determine whether they can be resolved internally or should be escalated to the IT Manager, a vendor, or an external technical partner.
- Create and maintain clear SOPs, user guides, training materials, process maps, and a searchable knowledge base.
- Train and coach employees with varying levels of technical knowledge and promote consistent system use across teams.
- Meet with departments to identify pain points, workarounds, duplicated effort, and underused functionality; monitor adoption and follow up after training or system changes.

Workflow, Data, and Technology Optimization

- Analyze business processes and translate user needs into practical system configurations, standardized workflows, templates, and automations.
- Use Power Automate and related tools to reduce manual work, improve consistency, and strengthen the user experience.
- Maintain accurate, structured data and build useful dashboards, KPIs, and reports using Dynamics 365, Power BI, and related tools.
- Understand how information moves between CQCC systems and identify integration gaps, duplication, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate new features and tools, prioritizing better use of existing technology before recommending additional platforms.

IT Backup and Business Continuity

- Serve as the designated backup to the IT Manager for assigned operational responsibilities during absences, periods of high demand, or business continuity situations.
- Support assigned onboarding and offboarding activities, user access requests, vendor coordination, incident documentation, system interruption communications, and outstanding technology requests.
- Maintain current system documentation and cross-training materials so critical support can continue when the IT Manager is unavailable.
- Escalate infrastructure, cybersecurity, privacy, and other specialized technical matters to the appropriate internal or external resource.

What You Bring

- Post-secondary education in information systems, business administration, business analytics, technology, operations, or a related field,

or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least three years of hands-on experience administering and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365, including permissions, forms, fields, views, workflows, dashboards, data management, troubleshooting, and user support.
- Experience with Power Automate is strongly preferred. Experience with Power BI, reporting, data visualization, Monday.com, Good Grants, Hivebrite, Microsoft 365, or comparable business platforms is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot user issues, explain technical concepts clearly, train non-technical users, and build trust across departments.
- Strong understanding of workflow design, process improvement, integrations, data quality, access management, and system documentation.
- Sound judgment, discretion, attention to detail, and a service-focused, collaborative approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and take ownership from issue identification through follow-up.
- Experience in a not-for-profit, chamber, association, entrepreneurship, or community-based environment is an asset, as is experience working with 2SLGBTQI+ or other equity-deserving communities.
- Fluency in both English and French is an asset.
