On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Senior Data IA Architect, Security - Databricks for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Senior Data IA Architect, Security - Databricks - :

The project involves ensuring the successful implementation of Azure Databricks by guiding it through all phases required to build, configure, and secure the platform. This role focuses on providing direction on best-practice architecture, enforcing security controls, and overseeing the delivery of a stable, compliant, and fully operational Databricks environment.

Senior Data IA Architect, Security - Databricks - Responsibilities:

- Serve as the dedicated security advisor to the Azure Databricks platform team, data engineering, and AI/ML teams.
- Participate in architecture and design reviews, offering security risk assessments and prescriptive guidance.
- Translate organizational security policies and compliance requirements into actionable controls.
- Advise on Unity Catalog governance design and secure networking patterns.
- Provide security advisory support for Azure services adjacent to Databricks.
- Advise on security considerations throughout the ML lifecycle and assess AI-specific risks.
- Guide teams on secure patterns for integrating third-party LLMs and foundation model APIs.
- Perform threat modeling sessions and provide input on AI governance frameworks.
- Advise on end-to-end security for data pipelines and recommend security controls for pipeline code.




- Recommend security patterns for model serving endpoints and inference APIs.
- Provide security input for audit and compliance activities related to the Databricks platform.

Senior Data IA Architect, Security - Databricks - Mandatory Skills:

- 10+ years in information security, with at least 4 years in cloud security architecture in Azure environments.
- Deep knowledge of Azure Databricks security concepts and practical experience.
- Strong understanding of Azure security services.
- Practical knowledge of AI/ML security risks and established frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in consulting, advisory, or embedded security architect roles.

Senior Data IA Architect, Security - Databricks – Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Certifications: AZ-500, Databricks Certified Data Engineer Qualified, CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent.
- Experience conducting threat modeling and risk assessments for complex cloud data environments.
- Prior background in data engineering or ML engineering.
- Familiarity with cloud security posture management (CSPM) platforms.
- Experience advising on multi-cloud security (Azure or GCP).

This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension.
