Tourmaline Oil Corp. is a Canadian senior crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company. We are focused on long-term growth through an active exploration, development, production and acquisition program in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.We are currently looking for an Operations Engineer to join our team, supporting field operations and production facilities across our asset teams. Reporting to the Operations Team Lead, the successful candidate will work closely with production, process engineering, maintenance, and HSE teams to help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.Key Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be responsible for or assist with the following duties but not be limited to:Area OptimizationMonitor facility and gathering system production performance data, identify opportunities and develop reporting for managementIdentify bottlenecks and recommend changes to maximize throughput and recovery working with process engineersMonitor uptime, efficiency, losses, and downtime causesOPEXManage OPEX budget and forecast in partnership with Production Operations teamEvaluate and implement OPEX improvement opportunitiesMaintenance and Operations SupportMOC evaluation and recommendationsSupport Operations in following Process Safety programPlan maintenance outages to minimize downtime and support in turnaround planningEvaluate preventive/predictive maintenance plans for critical equipmentHAZOP participation as requiredNew Pad On streamingPlan and implement tie in strategy for current production with development teamProvide input to facility engineering team on possible design changes and improvementsLiaise across teams – Coordinate operations, maintenance, process engineering, and HSE teamsQualifications and ExperienceDegree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering from a recognized University (P.Eng preferred)Preferred 5-15 years of experience in oil and gas operations, production, or process facilitiesDirect experience with process equipment such as separators, compressors, pumps, and heat exchangersFamiliarity with SCADA, and other real-time monitoring and reporting systemsExperience with an upstream oil and gas operator, directly with field operations, is considered an assetSkills and AttributesAbility to collaborate and communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team (both office and field)Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with sound engineering judgmentSelf-motivation and efficiency in time management and organizational skillsStrong attention to detail and highly organizedComprehensive knowledge of relevant regulatory codes, standards, and HSE requirementsExperience with HAZOP, Management of Change, and risk assessment methodologies#J-18808-Ljbffr
