Senior Manager, Pooled Investment Vehicles (International) Purpose Contributes to the overall success of the Pooled Investment Vehicles team within Global Investment Solutions (“GIS”), ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the team’s and broader GIS business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted in adherence with governing regulations for offshore and international markets, internal policies, and procedures. Responsible for providing timely investment advice, direction and thought leadership across Global Wealth Management (“GWM”) with a focus on the mutual fund and ETF investment universe for Offshore and International Wealth operations. Support GIS Investment Strategy and collaborate with International Wealth management platforms on asset allocation and portfolio strategy decisions in relation to these products and markets. Accountabilities Champions a client‑driven culture and partners across Scotiabank’s global footprint to leverage resources to deepen Client engagement. Deliver robust risk‑adjusted outcomes for investment advisors, relationship managers and clients, adjusting strategies and processes as necessary to optimize performance. Contribute to the effective functioning of the Pooled Investments team through due diligence on mutual funds, ETFs, offshore funds, and alternative mutual funds to protect Scotiabank, GWM, its investment advisors, and Scotia clients. Conduct regular reviews of third‑party managers and primary research (quantitative and qualitative) on pooled investment vehicles. Stay abreast of capital market developments, news,



and industry trends with a view to communicating relevant findings. Determine best‑in‑class offshore and international pooled investment solutions and a framework in collaboration with key partners to service high/ultra‑high net‑worth clients. Curate a suite of preferred investments by monitoring the offshore and international pooled investment landscape, global trends, along with advisor and client needs and ensure global fulfillment solutions continue to meet GIS selection criteria. Establish and monitor model portfolios consistent with the strategic and tactical asset allocation models established by GIS and prepare written rationales for changes as part of ongoing monitoring obligations. Develop and maintain relationships with fund manufacturers to facilitate the flow of information to advisors to meet ongoing product monitoring and Know Your Product obligations. Support GWM advisors by conducting client portfolio reviews for existing client accounts and participate in the creation of portfolio proposals incorporating pooled investments to attract new business. Respond to ad hoc advisor requests with qualified and value‑added ideas and opinions to educate advisors about the product/service offering of the Pooled Investment Vehicle team, including participation in branch visits, conference calls, and client presentations. Support the implementation of a GIS framework for pooled investments.
