Senior Staff Accountant - Compilation & Tax

Public Practice, Vancouver Island, B.C. - Hybrid

$65,000-$90,000/year

Our public practice client is a respected CPA firm serving the North Island for over 50 years. We're seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join our team and work with a diverse group of long-standing clients.

Responsibilities:

- Lead complex compilation engagements using CaseWare
- Prepare T2, T1, and T3 tax returns
- Review bookkeeping and junior staff work
- Handle complex bookkeeping, GST/PST, and reconciliations
- Assist with CRA requests, audits, and client advisory
- Manage client files and deadlines independently

Qualifications:

- 3-5+ years of Canadian public practice experience
- Accounting diploma or degree
- CPA, final-stage CFE writer,



or experienced senior accounting technician
- Robust CaseWare and Taxprep experience
- Excellent technical, organizational, and communication skills
