Emburse is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our engineering team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between software development and quality assurance, designing and implementing robust automated testing frameworks that ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our applications. As a leader in travel and expense solutions, we are creating a future where technology drives business value and inspires extraordinary results.What You’ll Do :Work as the quality champion and SDET within a product scrum team on a large-scale highly distributed enterprise software solutionEstablish test plans/approach for features and functionalityEnsure code changes are thoroughly tested and released efficiently and with high qualityConduct system/E2E testing, and coordinate and execute release and deployment activities for Emburse releasesDesign and implement automation for integration and workflow testsAssess load/performance testing requirements and create tests to exercise and evaluate system performance under loadPair with developers to ensure applications and features are designed for testabilityCollaborate with Software Engineers, Product Owners and other stakeholders to ensure our products and services are delivered with high qualityParticipate in peer code reviews and identifying opportunities to improve the reliability and maintainability of our test automation architectureDrive and lead test automation projects and architecture improvements and refactoring to improve test reliability,



maintainability and performanceOnboard and mentor new and junior team membersMay have a role in supervising others or leading small to moderate projectsEstablish test and automation strategies at a project or service level and influence decision making and technical directionCommunicate and educate team on QA/Automation industry best practicesIdentify and evaluate recent tools and approaches for testing, test automation and release management, and help introduce them to the larger teamWhat We're Looking ForBachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant experience4+ years of Testing/Quality Engineering experience in software domainBroad knowledge of Computer Science concepts and technologiesExperience working in Scrum/Agile and DevOps environmentExperience designing and implementing automated tests using standard automation tools such as Pytest, Selenium, Playwright or othersFamiliarity with object-oriented programming languages and concepts (Python, Java, etc..)Comfortable with SQL and writing SQL queriesExposure to RESTful APIs and experience with Postman/Curl or other equivalent toolsSome experience with load/performance testing and toolsAble to find opportunities for improvement and tackle them without external directionExperience with front-end and back-end automation frameworks (Selenium, QA Robot, Playwright, Pytest, RestAssured, etc.)Comfortable with CI/CD, build, package, configuration and release management tools (eg.
