Building Principal, Inclusion Coordinator

COORDINATES WITH

Inclusion Aides, Classroom Teachers

POSITION SUMMARY

The Inclusion Aide will support students requiring inclusion services at the high school.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support students receiving inclusion support
- Support teachers with accommodations and modifications for students who receive inclusion services
- Assist teachers in modifying assignments and assessments
- Support students in general education and small group classesTake notes in general education classes
- Meet regularly with classroom teachers to identify which learning targets are essential for the students they support and how the students will be assessed on these learning targets




- Document the learning targets students are working on for each unit
- Collect data on student progress
- Support students in study halls
- Lead small chapel group
- Assist students with organizational skills and study habits
- Meet regularly with the Inclusion Coordinator
- Participate in district and department-led professional development
- Maintain a chauffeur’s license

REQUIREMENTS

- Michigan Teaching Certificate preferred but not required
