Senior Informatica Developer – Utilities / Power Industry

12-Month Contract (Renewable) | 2 Positions Available

Our client is seeking two experienced Senior Informatica Developers to join a major enterprise data integration and modernization initiative within the electric utilities sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale, business-critical projects involving complex enterprise data and contemporary integration technologies.

Location: Hybrid – 3 days remote / 2 days onsite (Vaughan, ON)

Duration: 12-month contract to start, with strong potential for extension

Rate: Competitive and negotiable, based on experience

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and support enterprise ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter
- Build cloud and hybrid integrations using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS)
- Develop data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation solutions using Informatica Data Quality (IDQ)
- Create ETL mappings, source-to-target mapping documents, workflows, and reusable components
- Perform SQL development, data analysis, performance tuning, and production support
- Develop error handling, logging, batch scheduling, and recovery processes
- Support system testing, production deployments, and post-implementation stabilization
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Data Architects, Business Analysts, QA teams,



and business stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

- 7+ years of hands-on Informatica development experience
- Strong expertise with PowerCenter, IICS, and IDQ
- Extensive ETL, data integration, and data migration experience
- Advanced SQL and relational database skills
- Experience with source-to-target mapping, data validation, and production implementations
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and performance optimization skills

Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Azure, REST APIs, JSON/XML, Git, or Azure DevOps is considered an asset.

Highly Preferred

Candidates with previous experience in the electric utilities, power, or energy sector will be given strong preference.

Experience with technologies or business domains such as GIS (ESRI), SAP, IBM Maximo, AMI, OMS, ADMS, utility asset management, network data, or grid modernization would be highly valued.
