Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced

Senior Mainframe Developer to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of a critical mainframe-based cards and transactions platform. This 24/7 application supports key banking channels including

Online Banking, POS, ATM

, and other services.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, deploy, support, and enhance mainframe applications supporting banking services.

- Lead conversion, attestation, and audit initiatives

.

- Analyze business and technical requirements and provide estimates, plans, and timelines.

- Manage priorities, deadlines, and project deliverables.

- Create and maintain technical and project documentation.

- Collaborate effectively with development teams and various IT partners.

- Provide occasional after-hours production support when required.

Required Qualifications

- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.





- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong experience in mainframe application development and maintenance

.

- Hands-on expertise with:

- COBOL

- JCL

- IMS (DB/Online/Batch)

- DB2

- MQSeries

- Git / Endevor

- Zeke

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with z/OS Connect, IDz, zUnit

, and test automation.

- Experience with

CI/CD pipelines for mainframe applications

.

- Familiarity with

Java and Cloud development

.

- Experience working in banking, financial services, or other high-availability environments is a plus.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a solid

Mainframe Developer with hands-on COBOL and IBM z/OS experience, excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, and the ability to work on mission-critical banking applications in a development and production support environment.
