As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you'll be involved in the complete design and development of custom automation systems—from initial concepts through manufacturing and assembly.
Design and develop custom automated equipment and mechanical systems for a variety of applications
Create detailed mechanical drawings and Bills of Materials using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Develop assembly layouts, machine designs, and detailed manufacturing drawings using 3D CAD software
Collaborate closely with engineers, machinists, electricians, and assembly teams throughout the build process
Provide technical support during manufacturing and assembly, answering design-related questions as needed
Research and select components, working directly with suppliers to identify the best solutions for each project
Ensure designs meet quality, performance, and customer requirements
Contribute innovative ideas and solutions to improve equipment performance and functionality
Educational background in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum 4 years of experience in an automation or machine-building environment
Strong proficiency with SolidWorks
Experience with 2D and 3D CAD design
Solid understanding of drafting standards, GD&T;, and mechanical design principles
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines
Hands-on experience in a skilled trade, manufacturing, or machine building environment
