Job Summary:Assist with general workshop activities while completing on the job and classroom based training.We are looking for a talented Engine Workshop Technician - Apprentice to join our Distribution business in (Regina, SK).In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:Assist in cleaning, inspecting, disassembling, and performing other basic workshop activitiesLearn Standard Repair Times (SRTs) and follow documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and maintenanceAssist with completing required documentation, including work completed records and timesheets through handwritten forms or business systemsComplete training in line with skill development and business requirementsMaintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operationEnsure adherence to all Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation and report any issues or incidents to supervisorsAssist with repairs and maintenance on engine and power generation products under supervisionSupport troubleshooting using mechanical, electrical, and electronic service toolsAssist with diagnosing equipment issues following guided workflows and proceduresCreate and maintain accurate service documentation and repair recordsEscalate technical issues appropriately and document troubleshooting stepsIn order to be successful in this role you will need the following:Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitudeMinimal workshop experience or basic knowledge of engine productsAbility to safely use hand tools and shop equipmentAbility to follow repair procedures, work instructions, and Standard Repair Times (SRTs)Basic understanding of diesel engines, power generation equipment,
