Context

As part of the development of our activities in the energy sector, we are looking for a Senior Planning Engineer to work within a project management team.

You will be responsible for developing, updating and monitoring execution schedules. You will ensure control of deadlines, consistency of execution sequences between the different technical packages and anticipation of risks likely to impact the critical path.

Main Responsibilities

- Develop, structure according to the WBS and maintain level 3 and 4 master and detailed schedules under Primavera P6.
- Integrate, analyze and control the execution schedules of subcontracting companies.
- Collect and consolidate progress data from the different packages.
- Define and monitor performance indicators related to deadlines and progress, in particular S-curves.
- Analyze the critical path, identify deviations and anticipate their impacts on deadlines.
- Propose and monitor the necessary action and recovery plans.
- Lead weekly and monthly planning meetings with package managers.
- Analyze schedule impacts related to site contingencies, procurement delays and modification requests.




- Contribute to the analysis of requests for extension of time and the justification of schedule impacts.
- Prepare and consolidate periodic progress reports for the Project Management.

Technical Skills

- Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 and very good proficiency in MS Project.
- Proficiency in planning methods, WBS structuring and critical path analysis.
- Ability to develop and manage complex level 3 and 4 schedules.
- Solid understanding of site interfaces: Civil Engineering, Electrical, Piping and Mechanical.
- Proficiency in progress measurement and analysis methods.
- Good knowledge of deadline, recovery and extension-of-time issues.
- Excellent proficiency in Excel; knowledge of VBA appreciated.

Candidate Profile

- Education: 5-year higher education degree, engineering degree or specialized Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management or equivalent field.
- Experience: minimum 8 years of experience in planning major industrial, energy or complex infrastructure projects.
- Confirmed experience in execution monitoring and coordination of several technical packages.
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and subcontracting companies.
- Fluent French and professional English.
