The Prospect:

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Processing Leader to join a large copper & gold mining operation in Asia. This key leadership role offers the chance to drive operational excellence, lead process optimisation initiatives, and contribute to major improvement projects across complex gold and copper concentrators.

Lead the site based team of approx 150 in processing/metallurgy, you will lead plant performance improvement programs, oversee critical upgrade projects, to achieve best-in-class metallurgical outcomes. This is a hands-on operational role for a technically strong and people-focused professional.

Site : Large Copper / Gold Operation (5000+ employees total)

Roster : FIFO 28/14 or Residential in Country

Salary: Attractive expatriate salary package

Direct Reports : 4 x Superintendents

Key Focus:

- Lead operational performance and recovery optimisation across gold and copper processing circuits.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives targeting throughput, recovery, and cost efficiency.




- Oversee and contribute to key site projects, including:
- CIL Upgrade Project
- Stackcell and Column Flotation installations
- Copper Oxide Mill debottlenecking
- Primary Copper Flotation Circuit commissioning
- Resin-in-Leach circuit development for flotation tailings
- Identify and resolve metallurgical challenges in grinding, flotation, and CIL circuits.
- Support technology implementation and process control improvements.
- Lead, coach, and develop a large, multicultural processing team to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable outcomes.

Core Competencies / Qualifications:

- Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in Cu/Au mineral processing
- Proven operational leadership in plant optimisation
- Metallurgical performance improvement.
- Strong background in Grinding, Flotation, CIL, and Elution; POx experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams and coordinate multidisciplinary plant projects.
- Ability to operate in expatriate / multi cultural environment
