We are looking for a Senior Estimator to join our team. This role is an excellent prospect for individuals who want to grow their career, engage in a variety of projects and disciplines, and enjoy autonomy in their work. The ideal candidate will have a high level of attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication, and experience working for a General Contractor.

The Senior

Estimator will be responsible for estimating a variety of commercial and light industrial projects with a direct contribution to cost management and budgeting for various high-level projects. You will be responsible for gathering all data required for preparing lump sum, unit rate and cost plus detailed estimates along with conceptual estimating, cost analysis and estimate coordination.



Create estimates for commercial and light industrial projects, using whatever designs, drawings, sketches and information that is available Review and develop discipline and multi-discipline materials takeoffs (MTO) Review project plans and specifications and coordinate with the team to confirm the complete scope Identify risk issues and their order of magnitude Perform productivity analysis of cost estimates; perform comparisons of scope, quantities, and cost data between projects supply required drawings and data Participate in the estimate/project handover meeting with Operations Formal education in construction (Diploma/Certificate) is considered an asset Quantity Surveying or accounting-related degree and/or relevant experience would be an asset Understanding of a construction work site is considered an asset.
