Role : Quality Engineering (QE) Analyst – API, Integration & E2E

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Quality Engineering (QE) Analyst to spearhead testing initiatives for our core eTrack and eDocs systems. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the robustness, security, and seamless integration of backend services, data pipelines, and user workflows. You will work closely with software developers, product owners, and system architects to define test strategies, build automated frameworks, and validate end-to-end business transactions from interface to database.

Key Responsibilities

1. API & Microservices Testing

- Design, execute, and maintain automated and manual test suites for RESTful and SOAP APIs supporting eTrack workflows and eDocs processing.
- Validate JSON/XML payloads, contract definitions, schema compliances, and HTTP status codes across distributed services.
- Perform API security, authorization (OAuth/JWT tokens), and negative test scenarios to safeguard endpoint reliability.

2. Integration & Middleware Validation

- Test complex data integrations and pipelines connecting eTrack and eDocs with external enterprise applications, CRMs, and document repositories.
- Write and execute backend database queries ( SQL / NoSQL ) to confirm data mapping, transaction integrity, persistence, and audit logging.
- Validate asynchronous message queues, event streams, or background processing jobs linked to document state changes and tracking updates.

3. End-to-End (E2E) & Workflow Testing

- Architect comprehensive E2E test scenarios that mirror true user journeys—spanning document ingestion, metadata tagging, version control, tracking triggers, and final archiving in eDocs.
- Partner with UI automation teams using frameworks like Playwright, Cypress,



or Selenium integrated with BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin) specifications.
- Conduct exploratory and regression testing during continuous integration cycles.

4. Test Operations & CI/CD

- Integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI) to drive shift-left testing.
- Triage defects, analyze server error logs, isolate root causes, and collaborate with engineering teams for rapid resolution.
- Maintain comprehensive test documentation, traceability matrices, and quality metrics dashboards.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

- Experience: 3 to 6 years of dedicated experience in Software Quality Engineering, focusing on backend, integration, and E2E automation.
- API Testing Expertise: Hands-on experience with tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, Karate, or SoapUI for automated and manual service validation.
- Automation Frameworks: Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java ) used for test automation development.
- Database & SQL Knowledge: Robust capability to query relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle) to verify backend data validation and state changes.
- Integration & E2E Mindset: Proven track record of testing complex, data-driven enterprise systems, document management platforms, or workflow tracking applications.
- CI/CD & Version Control: Familiarity with Git and integrating test suites into automated deployment pipelines.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional debugging capabilities, with the ability to review system logs, trace payloads, and pinpoint failure points quickly.

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Experience testing document management systems (DMS), electronic tracking platforms, or financial/regulated workflow systems (e.g., eDocs/eTrack style architectures).
- Familiarity with containerization and cloud environments (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure).
- Performance or load testing experience using tools like JMeter or k6.
