TVDSB is seeking a Graduation Coach for Black Students to address systemic barriers in education. This role emphasizes building robust relationships with students, families, and local communities. You will provide targeted support to help Black students earn credits, graduate, and transition into post-secondary opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build trusting relationships with students and families
• Mentor and advocate for students with educators
• Facilitate academic support and resource access
• Collaborate on credit accumulation and graduation strategies
• Monitor student progress, attendance, and engagement
Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree/diploma in Humanities/Social Sciences
• Two years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Deep understanding of systemic barriers in education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license for travel
