AECOM's Buildings + Places team in Burnaby is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to help deliver high-impact building and infrastructure projects across Western Canada while supporting the growth of our structural practice.
This role combines technical leadership, project delivery, client engagement, business development, and team mentorship within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This is a unique opportunity to help shape and expand a growing structural engineering team while working on complex and meaningful projects. Lead structural design and delivery for complex building and infrastructure projects.
Perform structural analysis and design in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry. Provide technical leadership, quality reviews, and mentorship to engineers, EITs, and technologists. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, and construction.
Conduct site reviews, assessments, and construction support services. Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering + six (6) years of relevant experience Experience leading multidisciplinary building and infrastructure projects from concept through construction.
Valid
Class 5 driver's licence. 10+ years of structural engineering experience. ~3+ years of structural engineering experience in British Columbia. ~ Experience delivering transit, municipal, industrial, healthcare, institutional, or public-sector projects. ~ Demonstrated project leadership and mentoring experience. ~ Proficiency with ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD Pro, or equivalent structural analysis software. ~ Eligibility for Government of Canada security clearance. Relocation is not available for this position. Security clearance may be required on a project-specific basis.
