Job Description

- Believe that the Bible is God's inerrant word; it is the standard for faith and daily living
- Be deeply committed to a consistent daily walk with God; spend personal daily time in prayer and devotions
- Be a member in valuable standing of a local church, which has a statement of faith in agreement with the statement of faith of CHS.
- Adhere to the CHS statement of faith
- Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others.



This includes being committed to God's Biblical standards outlined in the staff handbook.
- Show by example the importance of Scripture study and memorization, prayer, witnessing, and unity in the Body of Christ.
- Demonstrate the ability to accept and carry out responsibilities and make competent, professional decisions.
- Recognize the role of parents as primarily responsible before God for their children’s education and be prepared to assist them in that task.
- Maintain a personal appearance that is a Christian role model of cleanliness, modesty, and in agreement with school policy.

Grade 1-2 Teacher Qualifications

- A Bachelor's Degree in Education

The classroom teacher will be responsible for:

- Planning and teaching lesson plans in core subject areas
- Implementing differentiated instruction
- Maintaining a positive, safe, and organized classroom environment
- Monitoring and evaluating student progress, maintaining records, providing feedback to students and parents
- Working closely with the staff, sharing resources, and participating in school-wide events
- Attending staff and prayer meetings
- Supervising students at recess on a rotating basis
- Engaging in ongoing professional development
