Job Overview

As a Server at Naru Sushi, located in the heart of Osborne Village, you will be responsible for providing friendly and efficient service while ensuring positive dining experience for every guests.

Duties

- Greet guests, present menus, and confidently recommend menu items

- Take food and drink orders accurately

- Serve food and beverages efficiently while following food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards

- Handle cash and process payments accurately, including providing correct change

- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, and service stations

- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation and delivery

- Check on tables regularly, address guest concerns promptly, and ensure customer satisfaction

- Answer phone calls and assist with reservations, takeout orders, and general inquiries

- Bus tables while keeping the dining and service areas clean and organized

- Restock beverages, takeout supplies, bags, and other service items as needed

- Be able to lift heavy items

- Work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks during busy periods





- Demonstrate strong responsibility, organization, and time management skills

- Team-oriented work setting

Experience

- Previous restaurant or food service experience (1+ year preferred)

- Familiarity with POS systems

- Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods

- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures

- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude

- Basic math skills for processing bills, payments, and tips

- Reliable, responsible, and able to work well as part of a team

Requirements

- Smart Choices certification

- Fluent in English

- Flexible availability

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Basic food and beverage knowledge

- Able to work weekends, weekdays, and late night shifts.
