Senior ServiceNow Developer

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Toronto, ON or Winnipeg, MB

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - ONSITE 3 Days Per Week

IMPORTANT: ONSITE REQUIREMENT

This role requires candidates to work ONSITE three (3) days per week in either the Toronto or Winnipeg office.

This is not a remote position. Candidates must be located within commuting distance of one of the office locations or be willing to relocate. Remote-only candidates will not be considered.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer with strong expertise across IT Service Management (ITSM), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Discovery, and Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) . The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, configuring, and maintaining ServiceNow solutions while ensuring alignment with platform best practices and governance standards.

This position requires a highly skilled ServiceNow professional with hands-on development experience, strong technical leadership capabilities, and proven success delivering enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow solutions following platform best practices.
- Implement and support solutions across:
- IT Service Management (ITSM)
- Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
- Discovery
- Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)
- Configure and support SPM capabilities including:
- Project Management
- Resource Management
- Portfolio Planning
- Develop and maintain workflows, Flow Designer automations, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, Script Includes, and custom applications.
- Support CMDB governance initiatives, CSDM alignment, Service Mapping, and Discovery integrations.




- Design and develop integrations using REST APIs and Integration Hub.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex ServiceNow platform issues.
- Support platform upgrades, releases, and enhancement initiatives.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.
- Ensure adherence to ServiceNow development standards and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and sustainable solutions.

Required Qualifications

ServiceNow Experience

- 6+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- Extensive experience implementing and supporting:
- ITSM
- CMDB
- Discovery
- Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)
- Strong experience with:
- Project Management
- Resource Management
- Portfolio Planning
- Experience with CMDB governance, Common Service Data Model (CSDM), Service Mapping, and Discovery.
- Experience developing integrations using REST APIs and Integration Hub.
- Experience with Service Portal and UI Builder.
- Robust understanding of ServiceNow architecture, platform capabilities, and development best practices.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Required Certifications Candidates must possess the following certifications:

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – ITSM
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – Data Foundations (CMDB/CSDM)

Preferred Certifications

- CIS – Discovery
- CIS – Service Mapping
- CIS – Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)
- Certified Application Developer (CAD)
