Join Family Services of Greater Vancouver as a Shift Counsellor focused on trauma-informed care. Support individuals through therapeutic counselling to prevent radicalization and enhance community connection. In this position, you will manage a caseload while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. A strong emphasis on individualized assessments and culturally competent practices is vital.
Your role will contribute to creating secure and impactful interventions for at-risk participants. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and create tailored safety plans
- Provide therapeutic counselling using evidence-based frameworks
- Lead case coordination including interdisciplinary discussions
- Engage culturally with participants while applying anti-oppressive practices
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services provided Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in a relevant field (Counselling or Social Work)
- Minimum of three years in counselling traumatized individuals
- Training in somatic therapies and expressive arts
- Experience with crisis management and collaborative planning
