SOL Thermal is an Edmonton based company that manufactures removable insulation covers for valves and fittings primarily in the oil & gas industry across Western Canada. We are looking to add an experienced Shop Supervisor/Foreman to our growing team. This is a hands-on role, and we are looking for a dynamic individual to grow and develop along with the position.

Duties

- Direct supervision of 10 production employees
- Coordinate project priorities and timelines with General Manager
- Monitor production levels, ensure adequate performance from staff
- Attend regular meetings with management, and conduct regular meetings with staff
- Maintain materials inventory
- Assist in all areas of production where needed
- Ensure quality and timeliness of products being delivered

Required experience/skills:
- Fluent communication in English (written/spoken)
- Previous supervisor/management experience
- Proven ability to lead others and delegate tasks appropriately
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Moderate computer skills
- Comfortable working with fiberglass insulation





Assets:
- Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production shop environment
- Valid driver's licence
- Comfortable driving pickup truck in and around the Edmonton area to do pickups and deliveries occasionally

Wage: $20 to $30 per hour depending on experience and skills

Hours

Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 5:00pm, Friday: 7:30am-4:00pm (44 hours weekly)

Benefits are provided after a 3 month probationary period.
