Waraich Development Group is a growing hotel owner and developer with an expanding portfolio of development, renovation and capital improvement projects across Ontario.

As part of our continued growth, we are building an in-house construction team and are seeking an experienced construction professional who is interested in developing a long-term career on the ownership and development side of the industry.

Reporting directly to the Executive Leadership Team, the Construction Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all phases of construction from pre-construction through project completion and occupancy. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

· Lead all phases of construction from pre-construction through occupancy.

· Develop, maintain, and manage the project master schedule and critical path.

· Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, municipalities, franchise representatives, utility companies, and subcontractors.

· Review drawings for constructability, coordination, and value engineering opportunities.

· Lead procurement of long-lead materials and equipment.

· Prepare tender packages, evaluate bids, negotiate subcontract agreements, and recommend awards.

· Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control, cash flow, and change orders.

· Ensure compliance with the Ontario Building Code, health and safety legislation, permit requirements, and applicable regulations.

· Lead weekly project meetings and provide executive progress reports to the Executive Leadership Team.

· Demonstrated experience mentoring project teams and developing construction management processes.

· Coordinate franchise approvals, design reviews, and brand inspections throughout construction.

· Maintain the highest standards of quality assurance, workmanship, and project documentation.

· Coordinate government inspections, commissioning, occupancy, and project closeout.





· Develop construction standards, procurement strategies, and project management procedures for future developments.

· Build and lead Waraich Development Group’s in-house Construction Management Division.

· Minimum 10 years of construction management experience.

· Minimum 5 years of hotel construction experience.

· Successfully delivered at least three branded hotel projects from pre-construction through occupancy.

· Experience managing projects valued at CAD $20 million or greater.

· Experience delivering Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, IHG, Choice Hotels, or other internationally recognized hotel brands.

· Experience with light-gauge steel framing, precast concrete systems, and fast-track commercial construction is highly desirable.

· Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, contract administration, project controls, cost management, and value engineering.

· Experience with Design-Build or Construction Management project delivery is considered an asset.

· Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or equivalent construction management software.

· Valid Ontario driver’s license.

This opportunity extends beyond a single project. We are establishing a long-term,



in-house Construction Management Division to support multiple hotel developments across Ontario.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping our construction standards, procurement strategies, project delivery systems, and future growth.

Proven hotel construction experience is our highest priority.

Applicants must demonstrate successful leadership of branded hotel projects from pre-construction through occupancy. Practical hotel construction experience will be given greater consideration than professional designations alone.
