We’re currently looking to grow our site supervision team.
ONIT Construction is seeking a Site Supervisor with a minimum of two years of relevant ICI supervisory experience. This role is well suited to someone who thrives in a leadership position and enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on construction setting.

ROLE OVERVIEW
As Site Supervisor, you will independently oversee day-to-day operations on your assigned project, with support from the Project Manager and Project Coordinator. Your primary focus will be safety, trade coordination, quality, documentation and schedule.
Our projects primarily consist of small to mid-sized ICI renovations, retrofits, additions and facility upgrades. You will work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients to help ensure each project is completed safely, efficiently, on time and on budget.
Our head office is located in Burlington, and travel to assigned project sites throughout the GTHA and surrounding areas is required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily operations on the assigned construction site
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential hazards
- Supervise, schedule and coordinate trades, subcontractors, equipment, deliveries and site activities
- Liaise with the Project Manager, Project Coordinator, engineers, architects, consultants and clients
- Enforce company health and safety policies and applicable Ontario regulations
- Maintain required daily, weekly and monthly site documentation
- Communicate regularly with the project management and health and safety teams
- Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Monitor workmanship, quality, site progress and overall coordination
- Identify and communicate site issues, delays and required corrective actions
- Maintain a proactive, organized and safety-first approach
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years of relevant ICI site supervisory experience
- Demonstrated ability to independently oversee small to mid-sized construction projects
- Valid Ontario G-Class driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation
- Strong knowledge of Ontario construction health and safety requirements and regulations
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, trades, equipment and deliveries
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on construction environment
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable using email, digital forms and other basic computer applications
- Ability to work occasional extended or after-hours shifts based on project requirements
ASSETS
- Experience working within a COR-certified health and safety system
- Familiarity with SiteDocs or another digital health and safety platform
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other basic digital tools
- Valid Working at Heights certification
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
- Basics of Supervising training
Required training or certification renewals will be provided where needed.
JOB DETAILS
Job Type: Full-time contract
Compensation: Based on experience
Vehicle: Car allowance provided in addition to base compensation
Schedule: Primarily Monday to Friday, with hours varying based on project requirements
Location: Burlington reporting office, with assigned project sites throughout the GTHA and surrounding areas
