NorthPeak Homes – Kingston and Surrounding Area
NorthPeak Homes is looking for a reliable, versatile Carpenter / Interior Finisher to join our growing construction team. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who takes pride in their work, can move confidently between different construction tasks, and does not require constant supervision.
Responsibilities include:
- Installing interior doors, casings, baseboards, shelving and other finish carpentry
- Completing minor drywall repairs, taping, sanding and paint touch-ups
- Installing and replacing windows and exterior doors
- Performing demolition and site preparation
- Completing deficiencies, warranty items and project closeout work
- Assisting with renovations, additions, custom homes and insurance restoration projects
- Maintaining a clean, organized and safe worksite
- Communicating material needs, site issues and progress to the project team
- Supporting other construction activities as required
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in residential carpentry,
renovations or interior finishing
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- The ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks efficiently
- A dependable work ethic and consistent attendance
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Familiarity with basic drywall, painting, demolition and window installation
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Basic personal hand tools
Experience is key, but reliability, initiative and a willingness to take ownership of the work are equally valuable. NorthPeak Homes completes custom homes, renovations, multi-unit residential projects and insurance restoration work throughout Kingston and the surrounding Eastern Ontario region.
