: Under the direction of the Manager, and as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Social Worker BSW provides a range of screening, triage, assessment, treatment and case coordination services to a primarily adult community mental health and addiction population.

Education
- Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

- Valid Class 5 driver's license

- Ability to provide public/educational presentations

- Knowledge of assessment, triage, treatment and case management.
- Ability to prepare reports in a clear, concise and timely manner.
- Able to work independently in a self motivated manner & respond under pressure
- Ability to enter and retrieve data in computer database systems
- Knowledge of community resources including treatment programs & support agencies
- Exp. in mental health & addictions community outreach & crisis interventions
- Knowledge in various intervention strategies for individuals and groups
- Knowledge in various mental health and addiction and harm reduction strategies
- Public relation skills with the ability to maintain effective work relationships
- Establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships
- Knowledge and practical application of the Mental Health Services Act and Health Information Protection Act and other legislation
- Knowledge of Recovery Philosophy
- Ability to formulate evidence-based intervention based on clinical presentation
