About The Role We are seeking a Senior Software Developer Front End to support a large-scale Ontario Government initiative. The successful candidate will design, develop, test, implement, and support enterprise-level web applications while collaborating with IT professionals, business stakeholders, and project teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, Oracle, REST APIs, Azure DevOps, and AODA/WCAG accessibility standards. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement front-end applications and user interfaces

Translate technical specifications into high-quality, tested applications

Develop responsive and cross-browser-compatible web interfaces

Build and integrate RESTful web services and APIs

Write, test, debug, document, and maintain application code

Troubleshoot technical issues and provide post-implementation support

Develop applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS, Node/NPM, and RxJS

Work with Oracle databases, SQL, tables, views, sequences, stored procedures, functions, and triggers

Participate in application design, deployment, migration, conversion, and troubleshooting

Collaborate with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, architects, and project teams

Participate in design walkthroughs and contribute to technical documentation

Ensure applications meet AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility requirements





Follow structured software development methodologies and meet project deadlines

Must-Haves 10+ years of demonstrated Java development experience

5+ years of Angular experience

Strong JavaScript and TypeScript experience

Strong HTML5 and CSS experience

Strong Spring Framework experience, including Spring Boot, MVC, Security, and JPA

5+ years of Oracle database experience and strong SQL knowledge

Experience with RESTful Web Services and APIs

Experience developing responsive web applications

Experience with Azure DevOps

Experience with Maven and Bitbucket

Experience with Node/NPM and RxJS

Experience with WebSphere 8.5 or higher

Experience with Hibernate/JPA

Hands-on AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA compliance experience

Solid analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills

Strong collaboration and leadership abilities

Ability to work 5 days onsite in Toronto Nice-to-Haves Experience with Bootstrap and jQuery

Experience with Eclipse, IBM RAD, or IBM RSA

Experience with middleware and gateways

Experience with Social Media APIs

Experience with Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodologies

Experience supporting application migrations and conversions

Experience conducting technical/design walkthroughs

Knowledge of Information Management principles, policies, and practices

Experience working with complex, large-scale enterprise systems

Experience providing user and system documentation
