About the Role
The Manufacturing Planner oversees production scheduling and coordination to meet customer delivery requirements while optimizing inventory and material flow. This role collaborates closely with internal teams and with Suppliers to drive efficient operations in a fast‑paced automotive environment.

This position will be on a bi‑weekly rotation of days and afternoons.

Duties and Responsibilities

Build and manage production schedules to meet customer demand while aligning with capacity and material availability

Partner with Production, Purchasing, Sales, and Logistics to prioritize orders and maintain smooth, on‑time delivery performance

Translate production plans into material and component requirements, supporting accurate and efficient planning

Develop and communicate supplier forecasts based on lead times and demand signals

Monitor supplier delivery performance and coordinate inbound logistics to ensure uninterrupted production flow

Proactively address scheduling challenges, including material shortages, supplier delays, and changing customer requirements

Issue and manage purchase orders to support production needs and maintain material availability

Manage inventory levels to support operations while reducing excess and obsolete stock

Communicate risks, shortages,



and potential delays in a timely and clear manner to key stakeholders

Maintain accurate system data within the ERP, including BOMs and routings for all parts

Validate incoming materials against purchase orders and shipping documentation

Conduct cycle counts of raw materials and finished goods to ensure inventory accuracy

Coordinate shipping logistics and documentation for non‑OEM customer orders

Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and support additional operational initiatives as needed

Qualifications

College diploma or university degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or similar (or equivalent experience)

At least 2 years of experience with planning or scheduling in a manufacturing workplace

Good communication skills and ability to work with different teams

Experience working in high‑volume, JIT production environments

Comfortable using MRP/ERP systems (PLEX experience is a bonus)

Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills with attention to detail

Understanding of scheduling, inventory, and supplier coordination

Ability to read and work with BOMs, routings, and production data

Comfortable using Excel and standard business tools
