Lead EHS initiatives at Asahi Kasei Battery Separator Canada as the Environmental Health and Safety Manager. Ensure compliance and enhance safety protocols for a recent manufacturing plant.

This position is based in Port Colborne and requires substantial experience in environmental health and safety within a manufacturing context. You will be responsible for developing strategies that promote a robust safety culture and ensure operations are compliant with regulatory standards. Collaboration with site leadership and contractors will be essential to achieving 'Zero Harm' safety goals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor EHS performance and implement corrective actions
• Liaise with regulatory agencies for compliance




• Manage EHS-related projects and initiatives
• Develop annual improvement plans for safety
• Lead the Joint Health & Safety Committee

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in safety or related discipline
• 7+ years in Health, Safety, Environment
• 5+ years in a supervisory capacity within EHS
• CRSP or CRST Certification essential
• Prior experience with EHS Management Systems beneficial
