Role Description This full-time remote SQL Developer role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable database solutions that support UMATTR’s products and analytics needs. Day-to-day activities include writing and optimizing SQL queries, building and improving database structures, and implementing efficient ETL processes to move and transform data across systems.

The SQL Developer will collaborate with data engineers, product teams, and analysts to support reporting, dashboards, and AI-driven features. The role also involves troubleshooting performance issues, ensuring data quality and integrity, and contributing to documentation and best practices for database and data workflows.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust Database Development and Database Design skills to build, maintain, and optimize relational database systems.




- Candidates should possess Extract Transform Load (ETL) and Data Modeling skills to design efficient data pipelines and structured data models.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data requirements, diagnose issues, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Experience with SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and performance tuning for complex queries and large datasets.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and BI/reporting tools is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Interest in AI, education technology, and continuous learning in modern data and cloud ecosystems is a plus.
