What You Will Do The Manager of Project Technical Assurance reports to the Director, Engineering Management. The Manager Project Technical Assurance will be responsible for Testing and Commissioning activities,



safety certification participation and safety acceptance for the Metrolinx Subway Expansion Projects. This role ensures the seamless integration and handover of the Metrolinx Subway Expansion projects to TTC Operations. The manager is involved early and continuously throughout each project, providing technical guidance and support. They collaborate with TTC Stakeholders to ensure projects are maintainable and fully integrated with existing systems such as track, traction power, communications, signals, and train control. The manager serves as the single point of accountability for safety and assurance, ensuring that all assurance evidence is complete, validated, documented and prepared for review and approval by TTC Stakeholders and upper management. They provide subject matter expertise in various fields, including track engineering, signal and systems integration, building systems integration, and operations and maintenance coordination. They work closely with Project Directors, Senior Project Managers, and Project Managers to ensure that projects are maintainable, and ready for operational use. The manager collaborates with Metrolinx project delivery and their contractors to develop and execute testing, commissioning, and handover plans, including checklists, schedules, and training materials for TTC Operating groups. They coordinate with TTC Operating groups to ensure any necessary updates to operational procedures are made for the smooth transition of new assets. They coordinate with TTC’s Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) team to ensure all required asset information—such as maintenance manuals, shop drawings, and supplier documentation—is collected and delivered.
