Techno Weld Limited is looking for an experienced Steel Erector / Ironworker to join our growing team.

We are looking for a skilled, reliable individual with strong field experience in structural steel erection and miscellaneous metals installation. The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently, read drawings, and take pride in quality workmanship and safety.

Responsibilities

- Erect and install structural steel beams, columns, bracing and steel structures
- Install structural and miscellaneous steel on commercial and industrial construction sites
- Install steel stairs, stringers, platforms and landings
- Install guardrails, handrails
- Install door jambs
- Install roof access ladders, cages and safety ladders
- Install steel ladders, catwalks and miscellaneous metal components
- Layout, measure, fit and modify steel components in the field
- Read and interpret shop drawings and erection drawings
- Perform field welding and cutting when required
- Use hand tools, power tools, levels, lasers and other construction equipment
- Work safely at heights and around construction equipment
- Coordinate with site supervisors, general contractors and other trades
- Ensure installations meet project specifications and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work area





Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as an Ironworker / Steel Erector
- Robust experience with structural steel erection
- Experience installing stairs, railings, ladders and miscellaneous metals
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings
- Ability to perform accurate measurements and layout
- Welding experience is an asset
- Fall protection / working-at-heights training
- Comfortable working at heights and on active construction sites
- Valid driver's license is an asset
- Ability to work independently as well as as part of a crew
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable transportation to job sites is an asset
