Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and goods across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent driving skills, with the ability to handle heavy equipment and perform basic vehicle maintenance when necessary.

A valid commercial driver’s license and experience with freight delivery are essential for this position.

Duties

- Safely operate trucks and heavy equipment to transport freight to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation of freight movements
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Perform minor repairs or troubleshooting on vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal operation




- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities
- Assist in warehouse operations, including inventory management and freight handling when required

Skills

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, and automotive repair tools is preferred
- Strong knowledge of freight handling, loading/unloading procedures, and safety regulations
- Ability to operate trucks of various sizes safely under different conditions
- Excellent navigation skills with familiarity of local routes and GPS systems
- Valuable communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads, perform manual tasks, and work in various weather conditions
- Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is highly desirable

Job Type: Permanent Pay: $185.00 per day
